Mini Beast Studies

This is a practical, hands on, exploration of the fascinating world of invertebrates. Using simple identification guides and a range of differentcollection techniques, the pupils will explore three major layers of the forest habitat: the litter layer, the trees, the tall vegetation of clearings. In addition to some simple classification and discovering the diversity of form and body structure related to feeding, movement, camouflague and defence they will discover food chains and the important roles played by some of the animals they find.
